Autumn Fashion

Yesterday I was working all day long and created something very classy, stylish, elegant and worm. Weather is getting colder, very windy and rainy!
Autumn is time when every woman is thinking about changing wardrobe, getting something new and different, for me it is special time, each year I fantasise to be more stylish to be more elegant.

Sarafan!

Sarafan is an interesting and practical garment in colder weather to be worn with turtleneck sweater. As it is becoming more colder in Latvia, I created a sarafan with embelishments! Looks elegant, stylish and practical.

Very easy dancing skirt!

My oldest daughter is in kindergarten and there she will start attending dancing classes. I need for her to make beautiful dancing skirt. She loves glitters! So I created something easy, nice and fast ))). Sometimes speed is needed to make things in time )))
No pattern is needed. Just measure lenght of the skirt, waist size. Fold your fabric in half, mark center, draw half circle of the half waist size. Then from waist line mark skirts lenght and draw half circle around waist line. Cut out. I'm using two fabrics, first layer is 100% white cotton and upper layer is translucent fabric with glitters. Sewing both fabrics on elastics. Also I will put white bias tape on glitter fabric. It will put nice finishing touch to skirt!
Such a lovely skirt for lovely girl!!!

Drawing Fashion Garments!

Drawing fashion garments is a skill which can be learned in process and practice. Appropriate learning material is needed. I started on studying fashion magazines, how models and garments are pictured and then tried to draw them on paper. And one day I found out about a super good book - Nancy Riegelman "Drawing fashion with colored markers" & "9Heads"! Beautiful books very helpful. I learned a lot from these books!

OMG .......

How long I didn't post anything! Shame on me
I waited such a long time for followers so started to quit on this but now I visited my blog and found out that I have follower, so thanks to You my dear follower! I will continue my story on sewing and creating garments!!!
In this long time, I have done many things and learned many interesting new things on sewing and garment construction-pattern making. I am attending a fashion designer who is in this business for 20 years and she is teaching me all of her knowledge in fashion design, pattern making and sewing! I'm so exsited and thrilled!
Also I do some orders on clothing for costumers, yes I have few of them )))) very happy! And that is the beggining of the new profession for me!!!
Have made some upgrade on my little sewing studio, bought professional sewing machine, it is so much easier to work with it!
I will now on post my process on learning, garment making, working with customers and my Family ))))
